From handling fertilizer shipments in various forms (containers/dry-bulk/liquid-bulk) to being attached to the chartering desk where I gained a better understanding of commercial shipping and also had the opportunity to build relationships with shipowners and brokers. I undertook analytical work on market trends and pricing for the commercial team during this rotation.

I transitioned from the industry to pursue Sales and Business Development in the technology solutions sector before joining Calibr:e as a recruiter to cover the commodities & shipping sectors. My prior experiences have further developed my interpersonal skills which enable me to identify and place professionals who are the right fit in terms of skillset and culture for clients. The main functions I cover are Trading/Operations/Shipping (Chartering & Operations)/Risk Management/Market Research/Data Analytics.

Outside of work, I continue to pursue an active lifestyle which includes the gym and squash. I’m always looking to build my connections and expand my network within this diverse industry. Happy to connect and discuss the latest trends and movements in the market over coffee or beers!
